Fall Fashion Lookbook

Up until a year ago, I truly believed I wasn’t good enough. As a woman who is plus-size, I have always thought “I couldn’t wear that.” So….when it came to fashion, I didn’t have any. I covered myself and wore things to make sure I did not stand out. I didn’t want to be noticed. I was scared about what others thought of me. I hid from the world.

This past year I have worked on buying clothes that I feel good in and have realized I am worth it, I am beautiful. I still work on telling myself those words every day and trust me, I still struggle.

Below are some outfits I put together to start off the fall season. I hope you find inspiration no matter what size you are, as I believe all women should be able to wear the same clothing and feel good about themselves!

Eeeek, crop tops! I would have never dared to try this outfit, but here I am looking like a boss. I am so happy high-wasted jeans are in-style because these give you a lot more coverage and support. Low-rise is not my friend. I love how casual the outfit is and then the heels add a little pop.

Grey Crop Top: https://www.simplybe.com/en-us/products/simply-be-crop-top/p/OV808#v=color%3AOV808_GREY%20MARL%7C

High-Wasted Jeans: Sold Out at Charlotte Russe, any distressed high-wasted/mid-rise jeans would work

Camo Jacket: Bought this thrift store shopping in Portland from Torrid, not currently at Torrid

Heels: Bought on clearance from DSW, but here is a similar pair from same brand Kelly & Katie – https://www.dsw.com/en/us/product/kelly-and-katie-tessa-wide-width-pump/391258?activeColor=109

This outfit is all about the layers and comfortability. I decided to layer a tank top with a lightweight jacket, shorts with tights on underneath and over-the-knee boots. This fall, the weather is constantly up and down with temps in the 40’s at night and getting up to 70’s during the day, so layering is crucial.

Tank Top: Bought this on clearance at Nordstrom Rack for $5.00, any tank top with do, I just liked this pop of rust orange (one of my favorite colors this fall).

Jacket: Olive green is such a fall color. This specific jacket is a hooded anorak jacket from Torrid – http://www.torrid.com/product/hooded-drape-waist-anorak-jacket/10906466.html?cgid=jackets_anorak#start=11

Shorts: Any pair of your favorite shorts from this summer, I picked these up from Charlotte Russe last summer.

Tights: Any pair of tights will work, I think I purchased these ones from Lane Bryant a year ago and they are good quality – https://www.lanebryant.com/control-top-solid-tights/prd-342422#color/0000031139

Over-The-Knee Boots: I purchased these second hand. They are wide boots to fit bigger calves from the brand Fashion to Figure. I have heard that Charlotte Russe is now carrying wide width shoes for a decent price, I have not tried them but here is the link – https://www.charlotterusse.com/wide-width-tie-back-over-the-knee-boots/302424765.html?dwvar_302424765_color=001&cgid=wide-width-boot#start=5

This outfit is so easy to throw on. All you need is an oversized sweater, some jeggings and a pair of booties.

Sweater: Olive green, check. Distressing, check. Oversized, check. Affordable, check. https://www.nordstromrack.com/shop/product/2174260/abound-destroyed-knit-tunic?color=OLIVE%20DARK

Jeggings: http://www.torrid.com/product/torrid-premium-stretch-jeggings—black-wash/10983495.html?cgid=jeans-jegging#start=31

Booties: These boots are my new obsession. They are chunky and super easy to walk in….so 90’s. http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/topshop-billie-unit-boot-women/4770050?contextualcategoryid=2375500&origin=keywordsearch&keyword=topshop+boots
